Saute MushroomsIn a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they release their moisture and start to brown. Remove a few mushroom slices for garnish if desired and set them aside. |

Cook Onion and GarlicTo the same pot, add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Saute for 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and aromatic. |

Make RouxSprinkle the all-purpose flour over the mushroom and onion mixture. Stir well to create a roux and cook for 2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste. |
